The Maya .FBX Tool is a plugin I'm creating to get familiar with the Maya C++ API. Its function: To combine multiple Maya files with animations to a single file with all the animations then exports a single .FBX file with a text file listing start and end key frame for each animation. Artists will be able to order the animations.
This project is intended to be a once in a while to work on project while I spend almost all my time on Grapple. I'll created a first pass working tool in Python and once it works I will convert it to a C++ plugin instead of a Python script. Again, this is for learning purposes; although it is very useful according to the artists I've talked to.
Expected delivery is July.
